Greenpeg Technical Trainee Programme 2.0 — 7 Engineering & Sales Roles for Nigerian HND Graduates (Lagos)
If you're an HND graduate with 0–2 years of experience looking to break into engineering or technical sales, the Greenpeg Technical Trainee Programme 2.0 is a well-established, verified opportunity worth applying for in Lagos.
The Technical Trainee Programme 2.0 is Greenpeg's commitment to closing Nigeria's engineering skills gap — training HND graduates on live projects, under the mentorship of professionals who've built and maintained plants across the oil & gas, food & beverage, and FMCG sectors. Over the course of the programme, trainees move from classroom fundamentals to site-based execution, with structured learning, real deliverables, and a clear path to a full-time role.
Greenpeg Nigeria Limited delivers engineering, procurement, construction, installation, operations, and maintenance services across these sectors — this is a real, operating industrial company, not a training-only outfit.
What Is the Technical Trainee Programme?
This is the second edition of the programme, offering 7 open roles across 3 industry sectors (oil & gas, food & beverage, FMCG), for HND graduates with 0–2 years of experience.
The programme is structured across two main tracks — Engineering and Sales — with mentorship from experienced engineers and sales leaders who've built Greenpeg's reputation.
The 7 Available Roles
Engineering Track:
1. Graduate Mechanical / Piping Engineer — equipment design, piping layouts, technical drawings, site installation
2. Graduate Process Engineer — process calculations, equipment sizing, PFDs and P&IDs, HAZOP sessions
3. Graduate Instrumentation Engineer — instrument selection, loop drawings, installation, calibration
4. Graduate Automation Engineer — PLC/HMI programming, control documentation, FAT/SAT testing, commissioning
5. Graduate Electrical & Electronics Engineer — load calculations, wiring drawings, switchgear selection, installation
Sales Track:
6. Graduate Internal Sales Engineer — technical enquiries, product selection, quotations, order tracking
7. Graduate External Sales Engineer — client site visits, presentations, business development, relationship management
Is This a Grant or a Job?
This is a paid technical trainee employment programme, not a grant or scholarship. Selected candidates join as trainees with structured mentorship and real project exposure, working toward a full-time role — not a one-off award.

Tips for a Strong Application
Choose the Role That Genuinely Fits Your HND Discipline — Engineering roles require a relevant engineering HND; don't apply for Instrumentation if your background is in an unrelated field.
Highlight AutoCAD or Relevant Software Experience — For engineering roles, this is explicitly noted as an advantage — mention any exposure you have.
Be Clear About Site/Travel Willingness — Since some roles require offshore site work or client travel, be upfront about your availability for this.
Submit a Polished, Updated CV — Greenpeg explicitly flags this — don't apply with an outdated or generic CV.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Applying after the October 9, 2026 deadline.
- Applying for an engineering role without a relevant engineering HND.
- Submitting an outdated CV.
- Not confirming NYSC completion or valid exemption status before applying.
- Applying without genuine willingness to work onsite in Lagos (and potentially offshore, for some engineering roles).
